Tod and Rayman

I love Japanese language. I tried to write the names in Japanese language.But I'm not sure that it is correct.
My friend who knows Japanese language couldn't translate "Tod", but she has told that it is possible to translate like that: Todo( とど ) -translate jp- Eared seal; a sea lion
And as for Rayman here it isレイマン.

EDIT(2019): lol I was told I translated Tod's name wrong. xD Tod's name is トド
